Back to Bali
or, 'Cycling around the world in 800 days'
On the 1st of August 2005, I set off for a bike trip, starting from my parents village in the Netherlands, with only a single goal in mind: I was to reach the Indonesian island of Bali and thus fulfill my childhood dream. Over 30.000 kilometers awaiting for me, discovering numerous unknown areas, not to mention the countless visa I was to acquire somehow.
And what will I do once I reach my goal? Keep on riding of course, just changing my working title into 'Cycling around the world in 800 days'.
Weblog
The weblog I keep is basically a direct one-to-one copy of the diary I keep, and I am way to lazy keep it bi-lingually, I unfortunately won't be able to supply you with an English version of the weblog. You can check my travelogue for monthly updates though.
Still, the two-a-clock-picture, illustrating each entry, and basically forming it's own photo-blog on my progress through the world, is pretty much self-explanatory. If you feel like browsing through it, you can return to the Dutch version of my weblog [nl].
Besides that, not keeping a bi-lingual weblog doesn't mean there isn't any interesting stuff available for non-Dutch speakers; all other pages on this website are available in English, so feel free and browse around the menu on the left side.
